Steel Magnolias is one of my favorite movies. I’ve watched it more than 10 times and it makes me cry every single time. This is Truvy’s (dolly parton’s) cuppa, cuppa, cuppa cake that is in the movie, It’s delicious and super easy. If you haven’t watched Steel Magnolias yet I highly recommend you do.

Instructions

Step 1

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a square or round dish.

Step 2

2. In a mixing bowl combine the flour, sugar and fruit cocktail.

Step 3

3. Pour the batter in the prepared baking dish and bake for 45 minutes until golden and bubbly. Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes and serve with some vanilla ice cream.
