Instructions
Step 1
In a saucepan, reduce 2 cups of apple cider to 1 cup over medium heat. Allow to cool.
Step 2
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a donut pan.
Step 3
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Step 4
In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and reduced apple cider. Mix well.
Step 5
Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
Step 6
Pipe or spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity 3/4 full.
Step 7
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Step 8
While the donuts are baking, prepare the cinnamon sugar coating by mixing sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish.
Step 9
Once the donuts are done, let them cool for a few minutes before dipping them in melted butter and then coating them with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
