Instructions

Step 1
1. Start by steeping 1 cup of tea until it turns dark in color. Set it aside to cool.

2. Whisk your eggs and add brown sugar while continuing to whisk. For easy pouring, first add the oil to your measuring cup, followed by the honey. This allows the honey to glide out gradually. Slowly pour in the oil while whisking, then add the honey and cooled down tea. Mix for about 1 minute.

3. Sift your all-purpose flour directly into the bowl and mix until well combined.

4. Sift in the baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon. Don't skip this step as it enhances the fluffiness of your cake.

5. Once your batter is smooth, it's ready to use. You can choose any cake pan you like, whether round, square, or 2 loaf pans. Grease your pan/pans with release spray and pour in your batter. Tap the pan a couple of times to release any air bubbles.

6. Sprinkle sliced almonds all over the top and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 35-40 minutes, or until a cake pin comes out clean. Avoid poking your cake too many times as it may sink in the center.
Step 7
7. Once cooled, drizzle some honey on top or brush on some melted honey. (If you prefer nuts inside your cake, you can fold your choice of nuts into the batter before baking.)
