Ingredients

2 Tbspbutter
Âľ cuponion
chopped
3cloves garlic
minced
3 cupsreduced sodium chicken broth
½ tspDry mustard
or 1 tbsp. Dijon Mustard
8 ozcream cheese
cubed and softened
2 cupshalf and half
2 cupsshredded cheese
cheddar or mix of cheddar, Colby, Monterey jack
2 cupselbow macaroni
cooked
4 ozCooked ham
cubed
½ cupfrozen peas
Instructions
Step 1
1. In a 3-qt. Saucepan melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook 4-5 minutes or until onion is tender.
Step 2
Stir in Broth and mustard. Bring to boil; reduce heat to maintain simmer.
Step 3
Stir in cream cheese until smooth.
Step 4
Stir in half and half. Reduce heat to low.
Step 5
Add the shredded cheese a little at a time, whisking until cheese is melted before adding more cheese.
Step 6
Stir in macaroni, ham, and peas. Heat through and serve!
