Step 1
In a large skillet add the butter and heat over medium high heat. Add the sliced onion and cook in the butter until browned. Remove the onions to a crock pot.
Step 2
Salt and pepper the pork loin, sear in the skillet on all sides. Add to the crock pot with the onions.
Step 3
Whisk together the apple cider, apple cider vinegar, mustard, chicken bullion, and garlic and pour over the pork. Cook on low 6 hours.
Step 4
When it’s finished remove the pork to a serving platter. Strain the juices and pour them into a saucepan. Whisk together the cold water and cornstarch. Add it to the juices and heat over medium high heat, stir until thickened and pour over the pork. Serve with mashed potatoes.
