Instructions
Step 1
In a large bowl sift flour bread soda and salt then make a well on the centre and pour in 350 ml of the buttermilk . Reserve the rest to add later if the dough is too dry .

Step 2
Use your hand shaped into A loose claw and just mix gently until the dough just comes together . Don’t over work the dough . Put onto a floured work surface shape it Into a circle and pat it down . It should be roughly 2 inches thick
Step 3
Transfer to a lined baking sheet then score a deep cross into the bread . Prick each corner once with a knife then bake at 230 c for 10 minutes then lower the heat to 200 c and bake a further 25 minutes . Once baked transfer to a wire wrack to cool and enjoy
