Instructions
Step 1
Season chicken with onion powder, garlic powder, salt & pepper
Step 2
In iron skillet, partially cook bacon - it will finish in the oven, remove from pan and rough chop into large pieces
Step 3
In same skillet, heat the bacon drippings, along with a little oil or butter to sear the chicken
Step 4
Sear chicken on high heat until browned on both sides, then remove from heat. It does not need to be fully cooked at this point.
Step 5
Mixed softened cream cheese with salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, cayenne pepper, to taste
Step 6
Cover the top of each chicken breast with cream cheese mixture, then top with slices of jalapeno, bacon pieces and shredded cheese
Step 7
Cook the chicken in the skillet in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 - 20 minutes until at least 165 degrees
