Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 425.
Step 2
Peel and thinly slice 8 medium sized apples.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine apples, brown sugar, flour, sugar, 2 tbsp water, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger.
Step 4
Melt 2 tbsp butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
Step 5
Add apple mixture, cook for until apples are slightly soft (5-7 min).
Step 6
Place apple mixture into premade or home made pie crust and add lattice on top.
Step 7
Make egg wash by beating together 1 egg and 1 tbsp water, brush overtop of pie.
Step 8
Bake at 425 for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 375 and bake for another 40 minutes.
Step 9
Let rest for 3 hours then enjoy!
