Instructions

Step 1
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Add the buttermilk, salt, pepper and cayenne to a large bowl. Add the wings, cover and leave for at least 30 mins to 4hrs to overnight.

Add the chicken wings to the buttermilk mixture and toss to coat evenly.

Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.

Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper.

Working in batches, put the flour and any unused herbs and spices in a fresh, dry bowl. Dredge wings in the flour mixture then arrange the chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Spray the chicken wings with the vegetable oil.
Step 8
Air fry for 15-20 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through.
