Instructions
Cranberry sauce
Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine fresh cranberries (but leave some of them for toppings), honey or maple syrup, and a splash of water. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool.
Yoghurt layer
Step 2
In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt with vanilla extract.
Assembly
Step 3
In serving glasses or bowls, layer the trifle starting with a spoonful of cranberry sauce at the bottom. Add a layer of Greek yogurt on top of the cranberry sauce. Sprinkle a layer of granola over the yogurt. Repeat the layers until you reach the top of the glass, finishing with a dollop of Greek yogurt.
Toppings
Step 4
Drizzle a little extra cranberry sauce on top. Sprinkle chopped nuts and fresh or dried cranberries over the trifle. Garnish with orange zest for a burst of flavor.
Serve
Step 5
Refrigerate the trifle for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
