Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 325°.
Step 2
Cream butter, sugar, egg yolks, and vanilla in mixer.
Step 3
Sift flour, baking soda and cinnamon together.
Step 4
Add dry ingredients to mixer and mix until it forms a ball.
Step 5
Line 16x11 pan with parchment paper.
Step 6
Place cookie dough on parchment paper.
Step 7
Cover cookie dough with another sheet of parchment paper.
Step 8
Use a small rolling pin to spread.
Step 9
Slightly beat the egg whites. Brush egg whites on top of cookie dough.
Step 10
Spread chopped pecans on top of cookie dough.
Step 11
Gently press the chopped pecans into the cookie dough.
Step 12
Cook for 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool slightly.
Step 13
Remove cookies still on the parchment paper from the pan.
Step 14
Place on counter and cut into squares.
Step 15
Makes 40/80 cookies depending on size of squares.
