This is a delicious oven baked bread version of cheddar biscuits.

Ingredients

1 ¾ cupsall-purpose flour
1 tablespoongranulated sugar
1 tablespoonbaking powder
½ teaspoonsea salt
3 cupscheddar cheese
freshly shredded
1 cupwhole milk
1egg
large
¼ cupunsalted butter
melted
For the sauce on top
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2
Grease a 9x5 loaf pan (I used canola spray)
Step 3
In a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt
Step 4
Add in shredded cheese and stir
Step 5
In a smaller bowl whisk together milk and egg
Step 6
Pour egg mixture over dry mixture
Step 7
Mix together
Step 8
Pour into loaf pan
Step 9
Bake for 37 minutes
Step 10
Let rest for 5 minutes
Step 11
While resting mix together the olive oil, the butter, garlic powder, Maldon Sea Salt, onion powder, red pepper flakes and fresh parsley.
Step 12
Brush sauce on the top of the bread after it rested for 5 minutes
Step 13
Let the bread rest for 15 more minutes then put on a wire rack or cutting board and serve!
