Instructions
Step 1
Melt 1/2 cup of sugar and water in a small sauce pan on medium-high heat. Swirl pan occasionally.
Step 2
Once sugar has melted clear turn down the heat and sit until it starts to yellow.
Step 3
Once it starts to turn golden quickly pour the sugar liquid into ramekins just enough to cover 3/4 of the bottom surface.
Step 4
Preheat oven to 325 degrees fahrenheit
Step 5
In a large mixing bowl combine all eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract.
Step 6
In a pot bring the milk to a simmer on medium high heat
Step 7
Once milk is hot slowly pour it into the egg mixture while stirring.
Step 8
Pour egg and milk mixture into ramekins and set all ramekins into a baking tray.
Step 9
Place the baking tray into the oven and add water in the tray.
Step 10
Bake for 20-24 minutes
