American Cassoulet

Traditional French cassoulet is a slow-cooked dish with many ingredients. This is the simplified version, with only basic ingredients, quickly cooked, but retaining the main parts of cassoulet - sausages and beans. Instructions

Step 1
Brown onions.

If the sausage is raw (like Italian), fry it with onions until cooked.

Combine all meat, onions, beans, and garlic in a pot.

Add a little stock (this is not supposed to be a soup, but a stew. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for a few minutes until everything is warmed up.
