American Cassoulet
Traditional French cassoulet is a slow-cooked dish with many ingredients. This is the simplified version, with only basic ingredients, quickly cooked, but retaining the main parts of cassoulet - sausages and beans.

Instructions
Step 1
Brown onions.

Step 2
If the sausage is raw (like Italian), fry it with onions until cooked.

Step 3
Brown other meats to create fond (optional).



Step 4
Combine all meat, onions, beans, and garlic in a pot.







Step 5
Add a little stock (this is not supposed to be a soup, but a stew. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for a few minutes until everything is warmed up.

Step 6
Add tomatoes and parsley.


Step 7
Add salt, pepper, and Tabasco sauce (optional) to taste.



Step 8
Add cooked potatoes (optional)
