Instructions
Step 1
Melt butter and stir in garlic
Step 2
Sauté together on medium heat for 1-2minutes
Step 3
Stir in flour until well mixed
Step 4
Mix in milk, heavy cream, and heat back up in preparation to melt cheese
Step 5
Stir in the cheeses so that it melts together. Let it continue to melt and be on medium heat and continue stirring until the sauce loses the stringiness of the cheese and can be readily ladeled out.
Step 6
Add salt and pepper to taste. It will likely need a pretty good amount of salt. Just take it slowly to not over do it. Before the salt it will definitely be tasteless and once you get the right salt level it will have great taste.
