Invisible Apple Cake
Indulge in the simplicity and delightful aroma of this tempting dessert that combines the freshness of apples with a tender cake structure and a hint of almonds!
📝 Ingredients :
Cake pan 20 cm in diameter
- 3 large apples (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
- 2 eggs
- 150g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 75g melted butter
- 150g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Blanched sliced almonds
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease the baking pan with melted butter and lightly dust with flour.
2. Whisk eggs in a bowl, add sugar, and mix well until the mixture becomes creamy.
3. Add vanilla extract and melted butter to the egg-sugar mixture. Continue to stir until everything is well combined.
4. Add flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gently stir until all ingredients are just mixed. Avoid overmixing.
5. Place apple slices into the batter and gently mix to ensure even distribution in the batter.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Add another layer of apple slices evenly and finish with sliced almonds.
7. Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan before gently removing it.
9. Dust with powdered sugar according to your preference.
