OATY ALMOND CARAMEL BARS

OATY ALMOND CARAMEL BARS RECIPE
BASE
1 cup
rolled or wholegrain oats
3/4 cup almond meal
⅓ cup coconut oil, melted
1/8 cup maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla essence
CARAMEL
1/2 cup dates (soaked)
½ cup almond butter
1/3 cup coconut oil, melted
TOPPING
1/3 cup dark chocolate
1 Tbsp coconut oil
Pinch of sea salt
1. Add all base ingredients in a large bowl, mixing well.
2. Press firmly into a baking paper lined tray and pop in the freezer while preparing the caramel.
3. Blend all caramel ingredients in a high powered blender until combined.
4. Spread caramel on top of base, until even.
5. Pop in the freezer to set while melting chocolate.
6. Melt chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler on the stove until combined.
7. Cut slice into bars.
8. Drizzle chocolate ontop of bars and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt.
9. Store in the fridge until consumed.
