Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F
Step 2
Lightly spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
Step 3
Prepare the cake mix - using an electric mixer, mix together the cake mix, melted butter, water, eggs and vanilla extract.
Step 4
Bake according to package directions- 22-25 minutes.
Step 5
With the bottom of a wooden spoon poke about 50 holes in the cake, 1 inch apart and 3/4 down into the cake without going through the bottom.
Step 6
Boil 1 cup of water and dissolve the strawberry jello in the water and immediately pour over the cake whiles still hot, be sure to cover the cake evenly so all the holes get some jello.
Step 7
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to overnight.
Step 8
Spread the whipped cream over the top, garnish with fresh strawberries
