Instructions
Step 1
Measure out nettle leaf and place in a quart sized mason jar.
Step 2
Pour boiling water on top and cover with cheesecloth or paper towel.
Step 3
Let steep for 6-8 hours. This is how long it takes for the medicine to be released as the plant matter breaks down.
Step 4
After steeping time, strain off plant matter.
Step 5
Drink one full quart per day for 4-6 weeks. Smell the tea before each time drinking. When you feel repulsed by the smell the flush is complete.
Step 6
Pause at lease two weeks between flushes. It may take less than a month if you repeat the flush later.
Step 7
Keep some on hand for stressful times to rinse out cortisol. Drink it if you are craving it.
Step 8
If you are storing extra tea, it can last for 3-5 days in the fridge. Dispose of it if it gets cloudy.
