Pineapple BBQ Meatballs

If you want to make meatballs that your guests will fight over, then this one is for you. You have a sweet taste of pineapple and brown sugar along with the flavor of your favorite BBQ sauce coating a very flavorful meatball. Serve as hors d'oeuvres or over your favorite base, mashed potatoes (our fav), or any pasta. Makes approximately 3 dozen 1 1/2 inch meatballs.

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix throughly the ingredients under the Meatball header in the Ingredients tab. Use mixer, meat smasher, or hands.

Make 1 1/2 inch meatballs.

Add meatballs to preheated skillet.

Brown meatballs slightly.

Brown meatballs in batches and add to a 9x13 baking dish.

Make sauce by adding all of the Sauce tab ingredients to a pan and heat on medium-low stirring frequently.

Pour sauce evenly over meatballs.
Step 9
Place in oven for 35 minutes. After 15 minutes, turn meatballs and then continue cooking.

Remove from oven, cover and allow to rest for 10 minutes.
Step 11
Serve with your favorite base dish of potatoes or pasta.
