Instructions
Step 1
Separate egg. Beat yolk and sugar with medium speed until pale and fluffy (1 min). Add milk and vanilla, then mix flour, baking powder, salt just until combined
Step 2
Beat egg white on high speed until foamy (1 min). Add sugar bit by bit until stiff peak (3 mins)
Step 3
Preheat oven 175c then coat tray with butter or oil. Fold egg white to yolk mixture until no white streaks. Pour to tray
Step 4
Bake for 25 mins, check doneness with toothpick. Let cool until slightly warm
Step 5
Prepare syrup mix then pour to cake. Store in fridge for 1 hour
Step 6
Beat cream on high speed until soft peak. Spread over the cake
