Instructions
Preparing the syrup
Step 1
Prepare the base flavor: In a saucepan, combine the Coca-Cola, cream soda, and Mountain Dew Live Wire over medium heat. Stir gently to blend the liquids.
Step 2
Add the extracts: Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and ½ teaspoon of raspberry extract. These will give the syrup a rich, sweet, and slightly fruity undertone.
Step 3
Spice it up: Add the 3 cinnamon sticks into the mixture and bring it to a simmer. Allow the cinnamon sticks to steep in the mixture for about 10 minutes to infuse the spicy warmth.
Step 4
Sweeten (optional): If you’d like a smoother, sweeter syrup, stir in 1 tablespoon of honey at this stage.
Step 5
Add complexity (optional): For a touch of bitterness and depth, add a few drops of orange bitters.
Step 6
Cool and strain: Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool. Once cool, remove the cinnamon sticks and strain the mixture through a fine sieve to remove any debris.
Step 7
Bottle it: Pour the syrup into a clean glass bottle or jar and store it in the fridge.
Preparing the drink
Step 8
Add ice: fill a cup full of ice, pour your choice of carbonated beverage into the glass.
Step 9
Garnish: pour 2-3 tablespoons into the cup and stir thoroughly.
