Ingredients

2 lbschicken thighs
skin on
1 cupsoy sauce
regular, or low sodium if you prefer
1 cupwhite vinegar
1whole yellow onion
1 teaspoonswhole black peppercorns
I prefer freshly ground but pre ground black pepper is fine
2 teaspoonssugar
I use to balance out the flavor of the soy sauce and vinegar, Optional
marinade
also works well with pork or beef
Instructions
Step 1
Add the vinegar, black peppercorns, 1 whole onion chopped in half and sugar into a blender and blend until peppercorns are fully ground.
Add to your bowl of chicken thighs and add soy sauce to mixture and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to an hour. I usually marinate it overnight. Note: you can use gas or charcoal grill (I prefer to use regular charcoal because it brings out/ enhances the flavors.
BBQ chicken until fully cooked.
