Instructions
Step 1
In a Char-Broil Big Easy Oil-less Turkey Fryer, a general guideline is to cook the turkey for 10 to 15 minutes per pound. For a 20-pound turkey, this means it would take approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes to 5 hours. Always refer to your Big Easy cooker's manual for specific guidance.
Step 2
Inject Tony Cacheres Creole Style Butter into the turkey in every place there is thick meat on the bird. Do it until you see the turkey swell where you injected.
Step 3
Rub Tony Cacheres Creole Style Butter all over the turkey, covering every inch.
Step 4
Sprinkle Fire and Smoke- The Usual All Purpose Seasoning generously all over.
Step 5
Insert Big Easy Oil-Less Turkey Fryer Flavor Infuser Stand into the turkey with apple cider filled to the brim.
Step 6
Spray non-stick spray on the basket generously. Place the turkey breast side up in the cooking basket. This position allows for even cooking and helps ensure the breast meat stays moist. Make sure to position the legs toward the bottom of the basket for optimal heat distribution.
Step 7
Insert probes vertically into both breasts and the leg of the turkey. Lower basket into the Big Easy.
Step 8
Let cook until the temperature reaches 165°. Only then should you place the steel grate over the Big Easy to make the outside of the turkey crispy. Don't leave the lid on for more than 15 minutes.
Step 9
The turkey is ready when the internal temperature reaches 165°F in the breast and 175°F in the thickest part of the thigh. (*Tips: Use a meat thermometer to ensure doneness). Once complete, remove the basket and let the turkey rest for 15-20 minutes before carving to allow the juices to redistribute. Then enjoy!
