This is the recipe "doubled" but I don't know why you would ever care about making less, so have adapted it. Also, I usually try to use 100% cranberry juice rather than the cranberry juice cocktail stuff ... either way is fine but the "juice cocktail" version makes it a bit sweeter and we like to cut the sweetness some.

Instructions
Step 1
Dissolve 2/3 C. sugar in 1 C. cranberry juice in medium saucepan over medium heat
Step 2
Add 2 cinnamon sticks and 1 tsp. orange zest; bring to boil
Step 3
Mix in 1 C. cranberries and cook until cranberries begin to pop/split. Cool; discard cinnamon
Step 4
Pour mixture into jar/other container and add 1 C. light rum. Chill.
Step 5
Strain syrup into pitcher and reserve cranberries
Step 6
Serve in martini glasses that have been filled with crushed ice. Garnish with reserved cranberries skewered with rosemary
