Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Mix in vanilla and almond extract.
Step 4
Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until combined.
Step 5
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
Step 6
Use your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each cookie.
Step 7
Fill the indentation with about 1/2 tsp of fruit jam.
Step 8
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
Step 9
Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
