Instructions

Step 1
In a large bowl sift flour sugars and salt ( note if you can’t get vanilla sugar just add 1/2 tsp vanilla essence ) whisk together then add egg and soft butter and mix with a spoon or mash with a fork until a dough comes together . Form into a disc cover in plastic wrap and put in the fridge for 1 hour to chill

Step 2
Once chilled roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface then make about 24 circles . Bake at 180 c 360 f for 10 minutes or until just starting to get golden . Remove and cool on a wire rack

For the Snowmen

Step 3
Mix powder sugar with 1 tsp of the milk if it’s too thick add a little more milk ! It should be a little runny but not too runny . Drip some frosting over the cookies so it looks like a melted snowman then add a marshmallow as a head break a pretzel stick in half then put one on each side as his arms

Step 4
I use a black and orange edible color pen to make the eyes and nose and when the frosting is fry I draw on black buttons on the melted snow part . You can just use some food coloring and dip in a wood cocktail stick to achieve the same effect
