How To Cut Peaches
Step 1
Cut the peaches in half along the crease till you hit the pit.
Step 2
Hold the peach in your palm and twist to separate two segments.
Step 3
Loosen the pit with a knife and then remove it with your fingers.
Step 4
Now peel and cut into slices. Cut each slice into halves or of the desired size.
Prepare Syrup
Step 5
If the peaches you are using are super sweet, you don't have to make this syrup. The peaches that I bought were just sweet. Depending on the sweetness of the peaches, you will have to vary the amount of sugar. I generally go with a 2:1 ratio for sugar to water.
Step 6
Add sugar and water to a saucepan. Let the sugar dissolve and boil for 5 to 8 minutes, and form a syrup. Stir the peaches till it is coated in this syrup.
Step 7
Let this simmer for another 1 minute.
Step 8
Transfer it to a bowl and let this cool down completely.
Chill Ingredients
Step 9
Transfer the peaches along with syrup to a large mixing bowl. Add heavy cream and stir to combine.
Step 10
Divide mixture into serving glass. Cover it with plastic wrap and chill overnight so that cream absorbs all the flavor and becomes sweet. If you are in hurry to eat, then serve at room temperature. Else, serve this dessert cold, after chilling in the refrigerator for at least 3 to 4 hours.
