Chocolate S'mores Pie Recipe

Instructions

Prepare the Crust:

Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until evenly coated.

Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie plate, forming an even layer on the bottom and up the sides.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until fragrant. Leave the oven on for the filling.

Make the Chocolate Filling:

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the heavy cream and milk. Warm over medium-low heat until hot, but not boiling.

Add the chopped chocolate and stir until completely melted and smooth.

Slowly whisk in the eggs, mixing continuously to create a smooth texture.

Bake the Filling:

Pour the chocolate filling into the pre-baked pie crust.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set and no longer jiggles when the pie is lightly shaken. Remove from the oven.

Add the Marshmallow Topping:

Using kitchen shears, cut the marshmallows in half. Place them in concentric circles over the top of the pie, covering the entire surface.

Set the oven to broil. Place the pie under the broiler for 2-5 minutes, until the marshmallows are lightly toasted. Watch closely to prevent burning.

Chill and Serve:

Chill the pie in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to set.

To serve, spray a knife with non-stick cooking spray and cut the pie into slices. (The pie will not slice well when warm, so ensure it is fully chilled.)
