Ingredients

½ cpineapple canned in juice
diced
2 Tbsp water
2 Tbspwater
1 Tbsp cane sugar
1 Tbspcane sugar
1/2 tsp cornstarch
½ tspcornstarch

Instructions

Step 1
Combine the diced pineapple, water, and cane sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with 1 teaspoon of water to make a slurry. Gradually add this to the pineapple mixture while stirring constantly.
Step 3
Let the mixture simmer for 1-2 minutes until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Step 4
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
