Instructions

Step 1
Prepare the Cornbread Batter: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a mini muffin tin or use silicone muffin cups. In a mixing bowl, combine the cornbread mix, melted butter, milk, egg, honey, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder (if using). Stir until just combined. Bake the Cornbread Poppers: 3. Spoon the cornbread batter into the mini muffin tin, filling each cup about 3/4 full. 4. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean and the tops are lightly golden.
Step 2
Prepare the Honey Butter: 5. While the cornbread is baking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir in the honey and cinnamon (if using) until well combined and smooth. 6. Once the cornbread poppers are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes.
Step 3
Glaze the Cornbread Poppers: Drizzle or brush the warm honey butter generously over each cornbread popper.
Step 4
Serve: Serve warm as a delightful snack, side dish, or party appetizer!
