Step 1
Add ingredients in order to mixer. Mix on low after adding each ingredient.
Step 2
Add small amounts of additional flour if using large eggs until dough is not sticky to the touch.
Step 3
Divide dough in half and wrap in plastic wrap. Place in refrigerator for at least 1 hour before rolling.
Step 4
If freezing dough, wrap a second time or place wrapped dough in freezer zip bags.
Step 5
Roll dough between two layers of plastic wrap. Refrigerate rolled dough for another 10-15 minutes before cutting with cookie cutters.
Step 6
Leave bottom layer of plastic on dough when cutting with cutters. Place tray of cut shapes in refrigerator for 10 minutes before placing tray in oven.
Step 7
Bake at 375°F for 12-13 minutes for 3/8-inch thick cookies. Bake less for smaller or thinner cookies.
