Instructions
Step 1
Step One: Prepare the Syrup! ππ₯«
In a hot pot, pour in the amount of syrup you want (in water form only) add the sugar and water. Bring to a gentle simmer. 10 minutes for a thin syrup, and 15 minutes for a thick one.
Step 2
Step Two: Strain it! π¬π₯£
Remove the saucepan from the heat. To get smooth, clear syrup without any seeds or pulp, strain it through a sieve. Do not press down on the strawberries if you want it clear, as this can cloud it. If you want it chunky, please skip this step.
Step 3
Step Three: Cool it! π―π§
Stir and cool the syrup in the freezer. Allow the syrup to cool to room temp. It will thicken later. Pour the cool syrup into an airtight container, such as a glass jar or bottle.
Step 4
Step Four: Storage! π₯«π§
Store in a fridge. It typically lasts up to one or two weeks (sorry for such short lasting, but it doesn't have any preservatives so..).
Step 5
Tips β¨ π§π₯
You can use this syrup for lattes, (espresso + milk + syrup), strawberry milk (strawberry chunks + cold milk + syrup), and more! this syrup is very flexible, so you can literally mix it with just milk and call it a drink!
