Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F.
Step 2
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Grate apples. Set both aside.
Step 3
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Stir in half each flour mix and apples. Then again mixing well. Fold in nuts if using.
Step 4
Pour into well greased 9x5x3 loaf pan. Bake for about 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Serve.
