Instructions

Step 1
You will need a candy thermometer.
Step 2
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray lightly with Pam. Set aside.
Step 3
Boil first three ingredients stirring constantly.
Step 4
When mixture comes to a boil, add your food coloring one drop at a time, until the the color you want is achieved.
Step 5
Let mixture continue to boil until it reaches 300°
Step 6
Add your flavoring oil, use sparingly as oil is strong. Oils can be very strong: Cinnamon Oil 3/8 to 1/2 teaspoon Peppermint Oil 3/8 teaspoon Spearmint/Wintergreen Oil 1/2 to 1 teaspoon Have your room ventilated, when putting the oil in the mixture. Using oil can be very potent and may take your breath away, especially when using cinnamon oil, or peppermint oil. These are very strong flavors.
Step 7
Pour onto prepared pan. Let cool. Once it is cool you can break it into pieces just by slamming pan onto counter.
Step 8
After breaking candy into pieces dust with powdered sugar to keep the pieces from sticking together. Store in an airtight container.
