1 bagPopcorn Twists
Old Dutch
0.5 lbbutter
not margarine
1 cupbrown sugar
½ cuplight corn syrup
1 tspvanilla extract
1 tspbaking soda
Instructions
Step 1
Place Old Dutch Popcorn Twists into a large roasting pan.
Step 2
Pre-heat the oven to 250°F
Step 3
Mix together the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and vanilla extract in a 2 quart sauce pan. Yes a 2 quart pan, you will need a pan that high.
Step 4
Cook on medium heat until well mixed and a very very light boil.
Step 5
Add the baking powder to the sauce, stir to fully combine with the sauce. It will start to rise.
Step 6
Stir occasionally while it rises.
Step 7
Then let it sit, until it starts to cook down in size.
Step 8
Pour the sauce mix onto the popcorn twists and carefully mix, until all the twists are covered in sauce.
Step 9
Place roasting pan in the oven for 45 minutes, taking the pan out of the oven and mixing every 15 minutes.
Step 10
Remove from oven and pour over cookie sheets lines with wax paper or parchment paper. Allow to cool slightly, then break apart.
