Instructions
Step 1

Make cuts in the potato in a grid pattern but DON'T cut it all the way through; leave enough connected at the bottom that it's still all held together.
Step 2
Microwave the potato for 5 minutes.
Step 3
Apply olive oil (or butter if preferred).
Step 4
Add salt.
Step 5
Keep it simple -- or add any other ingredients you like.

Russet potato: Could add garlic powder, onion powder, fresh garlic, chives, cheese, or whatever else sounds good.
Step 7

Sweet potato: Could add cinnamon and honey or maple syrup -- or could add cumin or other savory spices.
Step 8
Air fry for ~15 mins
Step 9
Serve with preferred sauces and/or toppings.
