Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a cake pan.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3
In another bowl, mix wet ingredients: sugar, oil, egg, buttermilk, vanilla, and red food color.
Step 4
Slowly add dry ingredients to wet mixture and mix well.
Step 5
Add vinegar and gently mix.
Step 6
Pour batter into the cake pan.
Step 7
Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let the cake cool completely
