Step 1
Combine the first 8 ingredients into the slow cooker. Add chicken and ale and toss to coat. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Remove meat and shred.
Step 2
Transfer juices to a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. In a small bowl mix water and cornstarch; stir into saucepan. Return to a boil and stir constantly until sauce thickens; about 5 minutes. Add chicken to sauce and coat.
Step 3
Serve on buns.
