Instructions
Step 1
Fry the lamb gently in a large frying pan until the fat runs.
Step 2
Increase the heat and cook until browned.
Step 3
Take the lamb from the pan and remove excess fat.
Step 4
Add the mushrooms, carrots, onion and garlic to the pan and cook gently for a few minutes until they start to soften

Put the lamb back into the pan. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 min.
Step 6
Add the stock and worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper.
Step 7
Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 30mins
Step 8
Meanwhile, cook the potatoes until soft. Add the milk and butter to the potato and mash, then season.
Step 9
Turn the meat into an over proof dish and spread the potato mash on top. Score the top in a decorative pattern.
Step 10
Cook in preheated oven at 180°C fan for 20 mins until the top is golden and the meat mixture is bubbling.
