Instructions

Step 1
Whisk flour, baking soda,and salt together in medium bowl; set aside.
Step 2
Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, and peanut butter in large bowl.
Step 3
Pour warm butter over sugar mixture and whisk to combine.
Step 4
Whisk in eggs and vanilla and continue to whisk until smooth.
Step 5
Stir in flour mixture with rubber spatula and mix until soft, homogeneous dough forms.
Step 6
Cover bowl with plastic wrap and let rest for 30 minutes. (Dough will be slightly shiny and soft.)
Step 7
Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat oven to 325 degrees.
Step 8
Line 2 baking sheets with parch- ment paper.
Step 9
Working with 2 generous tablespoons of dough at a time, roll into balls and space 2 inches apart on prepared sheets.
Step 10
Press dough to 3/4-inch thickness using bottom of greased measuring cup.
Step 11
Bake cookies, 1 sheet at a time, until puffed and edges have begun to set but centers are still sofi (cookies will look underdone), 12 to 14 minutes rotating sheet halfway through baking.
Step 12
Let cookies cool on sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to win rack.
Step 13
Serve warm or at room temperature.
