Almost anything goes when it comes to steamed vegetables as a side. Choose your favourtie veggies. Go for a rainbow of colour and cut everything to uniform size so they cook at the same rate.

Instructions

Step 1
Place all prepared vegetables into a large pot.
Step 2
Add 1 cup water
Step 3
Bring to a boil
Step 4
Cover with a lid and boil for 4 minutes then turn off the heat and allow the residual heat trapped inside to finish cooking the vegetables.
Step 5
Finish cooked vegetables with butter, salt and pepper
