Instructions
Step 1
1. Stir lemon juice into strained apples.

2. Mix water from soaked apples with cornstarch sugar brown sugar cinnamon nutmeg and salt in a large pan/pot. Bring to a boil. Stir in butter to melt and boil for 2 minutes until thickened.

3. Add in chopped apples and boil 5-10 minutes, depending on how soft you want the apples.

4. Cool to thicken further.

5. Store some in fridge for use in pie, oatmeal, yogurt topping, spread for toast.

Store rest in freezer in sandwich size plastic bags for easy use later.
