Panera’s Broccoli Cheddar Soup

Panera Inspired! This was such a warm and hearty meal I loved it in the bread bowl! I’m not that much of a fan of Broccoli but I’m this soup I LOVE it. 🍂

Instructions

Soup

Step 1
1. Set your pan to medium high to low heat and melt BUTTER with your diced ONIONS.
Step 2
2. Let the Onions cook for about 3-5 minutes or until slightly browned & add your CARROTS . Cook for additional 5 mins .

3. Add FLOUR & stir it in to creat a roux. Once flour is mixed in add VEGETABLE BROTH. Stir while adding in. Then add in your BROCCOLI.

4. Allow broccoli to cook in broth for about 10 mins. Then add IN HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM Minced Garlic, Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, and Onion Powder, nutmeg, (& a dash of extra kick if you choose)

5. Stir in seasoning. Set your pan on middle heat setting and place Lid over pot and allow the mixture to bubble up for about 18-20 mins or until sauce thickens.
Step 6
6. Once complete turn off stove and allow dish to cool for about 5 mins. add in CHEESE and stir thoroughly allow warm ness of the dish to melt cheese to prevent a gritty texture.

Bread

Step 7
1. bake bread for 5-7 mins at 400 degrees F

2. Once complete cut a circle at the top and gently remove inside bread pieces. Be careful to not create a hole at the bottom.
Step 9
3. Brush with Olive Oil and parsley mix. add soup and enjoy!
