Instructions
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 400F and line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper.

Unroll your puff pastry sheets then use a 4” heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out the shapes.

Gather the excess dough and re-roll on a lightly floured surface. Cut out the rest of the pieces.

Place the hearts onto the lined baking sheets.

Place a 2” heart shaped cookie cutter in the centre and press down gently. Cut half way through.
Step 6
Whisk the egg and the milk then brush the pastry. Sprinkle some sugar on top.

Bake at 400F for 13 mins. Until golden brown.
Step 8
While they’re still hot, use a sharp knife to gently slice into the heart shaped boarder at the centre.

Press down gently using a spoon.
Step 10
Set aside and allow to cool.
For the filling:

In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment or using an electric hand mixer, whip the cold heavy cream until soft peaks.

Add the vanilla jello powder. Mix on medium speed until well combined.

Fill a piping bag that’s fitted with an open star tip with the vanilla whipped cream.
Step 14
Pipe the cream onto the hearts.
Step 15
Add the jam in the centre of each pastry and enjoy!
