Vanilla custard cake filling
This is a custard filling I used between yellow cake layers with chocolate buttercream.

Instructions
Step 1
Heat milk in saucepan, bring to low boil. Add sugar, dissolve, add some of hot liquid to beaten eggs to temper and mix into hot milk, stirring constantly. Add flour and salt. Cook for 10 minutes or until thick take off heat and add vanilla. For richer custard, you can add a tablespoon or two of butter. Cool before putting on cake.
