Instructions

Step 1
Break off about 30g of dried seaweed from the package. Soak the seaweed in a deep mixing bowl full of cold water for 40 minutes. Make sure the bowl is deep enough for at least 8 cups of water.
Step 2
Meanwhile, let’s prep the veggies! First, julienne cut cucumber and carrot. Mince the garlic clove. Thinly slice half an onion. The thinner the slices, the better!
Step 3
40 minutes later … you will notice the seaweed has expended to almost 10 times it’s volume. Drain the soaking water and rinse the seaweed in cold water 2 times. Squeeze out as much water as possible. Then chop the seaweed into 5cm strips.
Step 4
Mix the seaweed with onion, cucumber, carrot, garlic, rice vinegar, sugar, chile flakes and soy sauce.
Step 5
Chill in the refrigerator before serving!
