Crockpot Venison stroganoff

I've made this for as long as I can remember. I used to make it with beef, but you can use any meat you prefer. This does NOT taste even a little bit gamey.

Ingredients

1.5 lbsvenison
or meat of choice stew meat, round steak etc
1 stickbutter
0.5onion
diced
½ teaspoongarlic salt
0.5 packageau jus mix
1 canchicken broth
bouillon or bone broth
1 canbeef broth
bouillon or bone broth
1 canGolden Mushroom soup
2cans cream of mushroom soup
8 ozsour cream
8 ozmushrooms
fresh sliced
1 cansliced mushrooms
16 ozegg noodles
Instructions
Step 1
Start in the late evening a day before you would like to eat this. Turn crockpot to low. Melt 1/2 stick butter.
Step 2
Add meat. Put approximately a cup of water into the crockpot, making sure the meat is not fully covered.
Step 3
Sprinkle diced onion, half package of au jus, garlic salt in top.
Step 4
In the morning, spread fresh sliced mushrooms over meat.
Step 5
In the evening, remove meat and shred with 2 forks or kitchen utensils of your choice. Remove and toss fat. Put shredded meat back into the crockpot.
Step 6
Add the other 1/2 stick of butter, chicken broth, beef broth, Campbell's Golden Mushroom soup, cream of mushroom soup, small can of sliced mushrooms and sour cream and mix well.
Step 7
In a separate pan, bring a pot of water to hard boil. Cook egg noodles for 5 minutes.
Step 8
Drain egg noodles and add to the crockpot. Mix thoroughly.
Step 9
Enjoy!
