Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180°c

Step 2
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter (usually take 30-60 seconds). Let it cool down and add in sugar and whisk until incorporated. Melt in the microwave for 30 seconds, take it out, and whisk again. Melt the butter and sugar in the microwave for another minute, take it out, and add your bar of chocolate (break it into small pieces to make it easier to melt into the mixture), eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla. Whisk until everything is combined.

Step 3
Sift the dry ingredients into the mixture and whisk until combined. Add in half of the chocolate chips and whisk until incorporated.

Step 4
Spray a square baking tray (around 20x3.5cm) with oil spray and line with baking paper. Pour the brownie batter in, top with the remaining chocolate chips and drop the tray lightly on the table a few times to get rid of any air bubbles.

Step 5
Bake for 30 minutes (adjust times depending on your oven) and rotate the tray when 15 minutes pass. To ensure the brownies are fully cooked, insert a skewer in the center. If the skewer comes out clean or a little crumby, it's finished.

Step 6
Take it out of the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes before cutting it into squares.
Step 7
Add toppings of your choice.
Step 8
Enjoy!
