Instructions

Step 1
Place wings in a resealable bag and pour enough apple juice to cover. Marinade 2-4 hours or overnight.
Step 2
Preheat grill 350 F.
Step 3
Remove wings from marinade, pat dry, and season. Grill until minimum internal temperature 165F.
Step 4
Meanwhile, prepare the apple pie sauce. In a small sauce pan on medium-low heat add butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and honey. Once the butter has melted add diced apple. Cook for 8-10 minutes.
Step 5
Prepare pancake batter as per packaging. Add dry mixture, cereal and stir to combine. Add water or milk and mix to combine.
Step 6
Pre heat waffle iron to high. Dip each wing in mixture and place on the corners of the waffle iron. Cook all the drumettes then all the flats for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Work in batches.
Step 7
Plate and top each wing with Apple Pie sauce.
